  • Inquiry Class

Our next round of Inquiry Classes will begin May 5! Inquiry is for people who would like to learn more about Catholicism, but haven't had much experience of church in general, or the Catholic Church in particular. The basics of the story of salvation, the Creed, Church structure, and the Sacraments are covered. No commitment to joining the Catholic Church is required. It's a great place to ask questions and find out what the Church really believes. For anyone who is considering joining OCIA, this is an excellent foundation, and will finish in time to begin OCIA in the fall! Classes will be held on Tuesday evenings at St. Pat's, beginning at 6:30. A daytime option will be considered if there is interest. A note to regularly practicing Catholics--please contact Ashley before signing up. Sign up here! https://www.queenofangelsfamily.com/catholicism

  • Fatima Shrine Update

New Shrine Time Capsule Request We need your help. No, not for a donation. This one is much easier. As you may have heard or read, the 1964 Shrine of  Our Lady of Fatima  at Indian Lake was destroyed by a tornado in March 2024. It was a great loss to the Indian Lake community. But, there is good news! A new Shrine is being built right now. The even more exciting news is that the owner (The American Society of Ephesus, Inc.) is including a stainless st eel  “time capsule” inside the Shrine’s cornerstone to be opened in 100 years. And that is where you come in. We would like to include letters, photographs, articles and other artifacts about the Shrine from the community. What would you like your great-grandchildren to read from you in 100 years? What are your memories of the lake and the Shrine? Do you have a photo or other item that you want to include? The deadline to submit your item(s) is  Weds., April 15, 2026. Where to deliver your item(s)? If you are submitting a pdf letter, please email Amy Bihn at abihn.mqa@gmail.com  and we will print them off for the time capsule. If you want the original letter, photo, booklet, or other artifact included, please deliver it to: Amy Bihn c/o St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, P.O. Box 329, 464 Madison Ave., Russells Point, OH 43348. (Note: the church office is only open on Mondays and Fridays from 9 am-1 pm).   The owner reserves the right to exclude any item that is inappropriate for a religious shrine. No items submitted will be returned to the donor(s) and no compensation will be paid to the donor. Thank you. THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF EPHESUS, INC. Date: February 25, 2026

  • Divine Mercy Sunday

Our Lord told St. Faustina, " My daughter, tell the whole world about My inconceivable mercy. I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and a shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners. On that day the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the fount of My mercy. The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment." Come celebrate Divine Mercy! Our holy hour will include Eucharistic Adoration, confession, and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. As you prepare for your Lenten confession, remember that making a good confession anytime in Lent will meet the necessary preparation for Divine Mercy Sunday! Want to learn more about Divine Mercy?
