Greetings Parishioners, When Beacons of Light began in 2022, we combined the St. Mary of the Woods and St. Patrick Parish Councils together into one council. We chose six representatives from each parish to serve on the council and to help guide our family through the transition period. The Champaign County churches also formed a council with representatives from each of their four churches. Now that we are through the initial transition time, our Logan County Parish Council is finalizing a new, more permanent, Code of Regulations. We will be implementing 3-year terms for members that will begin on July 1st. Terms will be staggered so that four council members will come to the end of their term each year. New members will be selected by the pastor and approved by a majority vote of the council. If you would like to recommend someone for consideration to serve on the Parish Council, please submit name(s) to me or to the Parish Office by the end of April. I am grateful for the feedback and guidance I receive from our Parish Council members, and I look forward to welcoming our new members this July! God bless, Father Shawn Landenwitch

The St. Patrick Church Mass on Thursday, April 3rd will be at 8:00 a.m. with confession after Mass. So that our priests can attend the installation of Archbishop-Designate Casey which is taking place that day in Cincinnati. There will be no Thursday 4/3 evening Mass at St Patrick Church.

The 2025 Lenten Talks will be given by Fr. Landenwitch, with the theme of Acts of the Apostles. The talks will be held on March 23 and 30 at the Winner Harvest Barn, 7317 OH-47, DeGraff. We will begin at 4:00 PM, with a potluck following.

Installation Mass of Most Reverend Robert G. Casey Thursday, April 3rd at 2:00 PM Archbishop-designate Robert G. Casey will be installed as the eleventh Bishop and tenth Metropolitan Archbishop of Cincinnati. The Installation Mass will take place at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter in Chains.
