Marian Consecration
All the ladies of our parish (high school and older) are invited to make or renew a consecration to Jesus through Mary this Advent and Christmas season.
Books will be provided. In addition, weekly meetings
will be held at St. Mary of the Woods on:
Monday, Nov 30 @ 6:30 PM Monday
Saturday, Dec 5 @ 10:00 AM Monday
Monday, Dec 14 @ 6:30 PM
Dec 21 @ 6:30 PM
Dec 28 @ 6:30 PM
Consecration Day will be January 1, the Feast of Mary, the Mother of God.
What is Marian Consecration? A particular offering in prayer, when we take Our Lady more closely as our mother, and offer her all that we are. Here's a short video, but there are many others you can easily find: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThlvE3gARuw
How do you do it? We'll use the book "33 Days to Morning Glory" by Fr. Michael Gaitley. There are about 10 minutes of reading per day for 33 days, and then you say a prayer of consecration.
What are the meetings for? Just to supplement what we're reading, and share any insights we receive. Especially if this is your first time through, you may find them helpful!
